For something refined yet welcoming, Heywood at Nick O'Leary brings together elegant wines and seasonal regional food in a setting that feels both special and relaxed. You can enjoy a wine tasting as well or indulge in their fabulous selection of cocktails (the Garden Party Spritz is a must try).

Or, for a more casual and family-friendly option, Four Winds Vineyard is a local favourite, known for its wood-fired pizzas, DIY charcuterie boards, vineyard views, and weekend music. A pizza paired with a wine flight is pure weekend perfection.

Not every Mother’s Day celebration needs to happen on the day itself.

For those like me, who work on Mother's Day, there is something lovely about planning a celebration after the weekend rush. 

One to consider is the Back Vintage Riesling Dinner at Four Winds Vineyard on Friday 15 May. The evening begins with a sparkling Riesling on arrival, followed by a three-course menu of wood-fired pizza paired with a selection of back vintage Rieslings. To finish, a Riesling-inspired dessert created by us brings everything together in a delicious local collaboration!

It is a beautiful way to extend the celebration and enjoy the region at a slower pace.
